Carbon Footprint
At Govt. Polytechnic, Rajpur, we believe in shaping not just bright minds, but also responsible citizens who are aware of their impact on the environment.
A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases—primarily carbon dioxide (CO₂)—that are released into the atmosphere as a result of our activities. These emissions can come from daily actions like:
- Driving or commuting by vehicles
- Using electricity and appliances
- Consuming food (especially meat and packaged goods)
- Manufacturing, construction, and other industrial processes
- Burning fossil fuels for heating or energy
