As a part of the Green Building practices, Government Polytechnic Rajpur Sadhaura is committed to maintaining and enhancing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) to ensure a healthy and comfortable environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Clean indoor air is essential for better concentration, productivity, and overall well-being. The institution has implemented several measures to achieve and sustain high indoor air standards.

Key Measures Taken:

🌱 Use of Indoor Plants

  • Placement of air-purifying plants in classrooms, offices, and corridors
  • Natural filtration of indoor air and improved aesthetics

🪟 Natural Ventilation

  • Design of classrooms and laboratories to allow maximum cross-ventilation
  • Regular opening of windows and doors to allow fresh air circulation

🧼 Cleanliness & Dust Control

  • Regular cleaning and maintenance of classrooms, labs, and common areas
  • Use of low-dust chalk and non-toxic cleaning materials

🛑 Low-VOC Materials

  • Use of paints, adhesives, and furniture with low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
  • Prevention of indoor air pollution from harmful chemical emissions

📈 Monitoring and Awareness

  • Awareness sessions on maintaining personal hygiene and indoor cleanliness
  • Encouraging reduced use of room fresheners and chemical sprays
